How do you attach a spring to a rod?

For type A, B, C and G variable springs, the rod attaches to the loadcolumn of the spring by threading the rod into the existing load column. For Dand E type variable springs, the rod extends through the spring housing and thenplace a washer on top followed by a nut. For constant springs, an integratedturnbuckle is included for attaching the rod to the spring assembly.
